Topics of the Lectures within the Summer School:

• What does it mean "ř"? Introduction to the Czech language, the influance of the German language on the Czech language, multilingual Europe.
  

How many languages do you know, so many times you are human." These words, spoken by Czech educator Jan Amos Komensky in the 17th century are still relevant today. During the lecture with practical examples listeners will verify their ability to learn foreign languages, learn about the specifics of Czech and rehearse the most important words and conversational phrases for their stay at a summer school in the Czech Republic.

• Co znamená "ř"? Úvod do českého jazyka, vliv německého jazyka na český jazyk, mnohojazyčná Evropa.
  

"Kolik jazyků znáš, tolikrát jsi člověkem." Tato slova, pronesená českým pedagogem Janem Amosem Komenským v 17. století, jsou aktuální i dnes. Během přednášky s praktickými ukázkami si posluchači ověří své schopnosti pro učení se cizím jazykům, seznámí se se zvláštnostmi češtiny a nacvičí si nejdůležitější slova a konverzační obraty pro svůj pobyt na letní škole v České republice.

What they have in common is that they can communicate in all countries of the world, because they govern the universal language in the world. The language is music that unites cultures, nations and languages. Discover with us Czech culture, Czech nation and Czech language through music.

Dvořák, Janáček, Martinů či Smetana jsou jména českých osobností, které proslavili svoji vlast Českou republiku po celém světě. Co mají společného, je to, že se dorozumí v každé zemi na světě, protože ovládají univerzální světový jazyk. Tímto jazykem je hudba, která spojuje kultury, národy i jazyky. Objevte spolu s námi českou kulturu, český národ a jazyk prostřednictvím hudby.

• "Would you like to visit Czech schools?" Possibility to visit Czech schools (special school, primary school or secondary school) and participate on the teaching in various classes.
  

In the workshop you will receive a possibility to visit Czech schools (special school, primary school or secondary school) and participate on the teaching in various classes. You can try to participate - as an assistant of teacher - for example on sport lesson, English lesson, music lesson or you can try to cook Czech food. You can also discuss with Czech teachers and learners about various topics you are interested in.

• Chcete navštívit české školy? Možnost navštívit české školy (speciální škola, základní škola nebo střední škola) a podílet se na výuce v různých třídách.
  

V nabízeném workshopu dostanete možnost navštívit české školy (speciální školy, základní školy, střední školy) a participovat na výuce v různých třídách. Můžete si vyzkoušet funkci asistenta pedagoga např. v hodinách tělesné výchovy, hudební výchovy, angličtiny, nebo si vyzkoušet přípravu českého jídla. Dostanete také možnost diskutovat s vyučujícími a žáky na témata, která vás zajímají.

• Lecture: Digital Image in Public Space
  
• Workshop: Presentation students´ seminal works
  

We do not notice digital image in public space because it is all around us. Advertisement is attacking us, cities and roads are infested with images. There is no escape. We choose "Digital Image in Public Space" as a topic of the lesson. What we are most interested in is the relation between images and particular places, space and technical possibilities of digital image. We are trying to connect new technical possibilities with an architecture. In a lesson we will present the results of the students´ works made during the first year of their study.

• Digitální obraz ve veřejném prostoru
  

Nevšímáme si digitálních obrazů ve veřejném prostoru, neboť jsou všude kolem nás. Reklama na nás útočí, města a silníce jsou "zamořeny" obrazy, před kterými není úniku. Proto volíme za téma přednášky "Digitální obraz ve veřejném prostoru". To, co nás nejvíce zajímá je vztah mezi obrazem a konkrétním místem, prostorem a technickými možnostmi digitálního obrazu. V přednášce budeme prezentovat výsledky studentských prací realizovaných během prvního roku jejich studia.

• Lecture: Hidden aspect of art: Introduction to art therapy principles
  
• Workshop: Art activities in a studio (clay work and expressive drawings)
  

Art Therapy considers the process of art making and creating of art artefacts as a therapeutic experience. Art therapy involves art and creativity in the centre and emphasise the "doing" and non-verbal over the "talking". In the Art therapy workshop students will enjoy work with artistic materials as clay and colours. Participants will find, that even not being artists, they can communicate in art language. Their skills and aesthetic impact aren´t as important as a hidden metaphor of the art work.

• Skrytý aspekt umění: Úvod do základů arteterapie
  

Arteterapie vnímá proces výtvarné tvorby a výsledný výtvarný artefakt jako terapeutickou zkušenost. Tvorba a tvořivost jsou ústředním tématem arteterapie, stejně tak i důraz na "tvorbu" a neverbální zkušenost před pouhým "mluvením". V praktickém workshopu budou mít studenti příležitost zažít práci s výtvarnými materiály, jako jsou sochařská hlína a barvy. Účastníci poznají, že ačkoli nejsou umělci, mohou komunikovat výtvarným jazykem. Výtvarné řemeslné dovednosti a estetický účin nejsou tak důležité, jako skryté metafory výtvarného díla.

Topics of the Lectures within the Summer School:

• Lecture: Czech Bobbin Lace. The development of lace in the 20th century in the Czech Republic and Europe.
  

The educational module will be aimed on theoretical and practical insight into the traditional Czech bobbin lace. The theoretical part will be a lecture focused on history of lacemaking, on its use in contemporary textile art and on explanation of the basic bobbin lace techniques .The practical part will be focused on actual lacemaking. Student can try some of the basic techniques and part of the lecture will be also realization of original lace jewellery.

Vzdělávací modul bude zaměřen na teoretický vhled a praktickou zkušenost s tradiční českou paličkovanou krajkou. Teorie seznámí s historií krajky, jejím využitím v současném textilním umění a vysvětlí základy paličkované techniky. V praktické části si studenti vyzkouší některé ze základních technik při realizaci paličkovaného šperku.
