The University of Hradec Králové is a modern, dynamic university in a state of constant evolution. It has been a significant part of the town it was named after since 2000. The town of Hradec Králové is one of the oldest and most beautiful towns in Bohemia, being repeatedly proclaimed the town with the highest quality of life in the Czech Republic. We sincerely believe that our university has contributed to this positive assessment.

The town of Hradec Králové itself provides our students with a pleasant study environment, as well as many cultural and sporting events. It also has numerous places for recreation and active relaxation. Almost 9,000 students of the university give the town its youthful spirit and powerful robust atmosphere. The university also represents the significant potential for further development, both of the town and of the whole region. It actively fulfills its role as the biggest educational institution in the town of Hradec Králové through its mediation of numerous activities. These include its regional organization of fundamental as well as applied research, its co-operation with both the commercial sector and governmental administration, the university education of specialists in a wide variety of disciplines, as well as its rich offer of courses for professional as well as lifelong education.
