Prof. Martin Bílek, Ph.D. is full-professor at the Department of Chemistry (Head of Section for Chemistry Didactics). He graduated as a chemistry and physics teacher for secondary school at the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Hradec Králové (M. Ed., 1988). In 1996 he received Ph.D. in pedagogy/educational technology at Pedagogical Faculty of the Charles University in Prague, followed by the habilitation (Assoc. Prof., 1999) and inauguration (Prof.) in didactics of chemistry at Faculty of Natural Sciences of the M. Bel University in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia) in 2006. His scientific and pedagogical activities are focused on didactics of natural sciences and technical subjects and Information and Communication Technology in science and technical education. He published about 160research and pedagogical publications.

Prof. František Kuřina, Ph.D. is full-professor at the Department of Mathematics He graduated as a mathematics and descriptive geometry teacher for secondary school at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University in Prague (M. Ed., 1955). In 1984 he received Ph.D. in theoty of mathematics teaching at Pedagogical Faculty of the Charles University in Prague, followed by the habilitation (Assoc. Prof., 1992) at Palacky University in Olomouc and inauguration (Prof.) at J. E. Purkyne University in Usti nad Labem in mathematics didactics in 1993. His scientific and pedagogical activities are focused on mathematics didactics and general aspects of education. He published about 100research and pedagogical publications, especially monographs oriented to general and developing aspects of mathematics education.

Assoc. Prof. Jan Kříž, Ph.D. is an associate-professor at the Department of Physics Faculty of Science University of Hradec Kralove. He graduated in Theoretical physics, astronomy and astrophysics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague. In 2003 he received his Ph.D. in Theoretical physics from the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. He has habilitated in Theory of Education in Physics at Faculty of Science, University of Hradec Kralove in 2015. He worked in the field of mathematical physics, namely studied spectral properties of quantum waveguides. His current interests are methods of mathematical physics applied in biomedical engineering and Physics problems for talented pupils.

Veronika Machková, Ph.D. is an assistant-professor at Department of Chemistry Faculty of Education University of Hradec Kralove. She graduated as Teacher of Chemistry, French language and Informatics for secondary schools at Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Hradec Králové (M. Ed., 2001). Her Ph.D. she received in Specialization in Pedagogy: Information and communication technology in Education. She researches the use of computers as (especially web-based) tools in natural science teaching and learning. She has experience with teaching at vocational school and in teachers' professional development.

Michal Musílek, Ph.D. is an assistant-professor at the Department of Informatics Faculty of Education University of Hradec Kralove. He graduated as a teacher of mathematics and physics for secondary schools at the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Hradec Králové (M. Ed., 1988). He received his Ph.D. in Physics Didactics and researches the use of information and communication technology in natural science teaching and learning. He has long experience with teaching and school management at upper secondary schools and in teachers' professional development.

Michaela Křížová, Ph.D. is an assistant-professor at Department of Physics, Faculty of Science University of Hradec Kralove. She graduated as teacher of physics and mathematics for secondary schools at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague (2000). She received her Ph.D. in specialization General Problems of Physics. She has experience with teaching at primary school and in teachers' professional development. She prepares practical seminars for physics teachers and for teachers from the primary schools, too. She significantly contributes to the popularization of science.

Lukáš Vízek, M.A. is an assistant-professor at the Department of Mathematics Faculty of Science University of Hradec Kralove. He graduated as a teacher of mathematics and art for secondary schools at the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Hradec Kralove (M. Ed., 2010). He is a Ph.D. student of General Questions of Mathematics and Information Science at the Department of Mathematics Education Faculty of Mathematics and Physics Charles University in Prague. In his dissertation thesis he deals with history of mathematics education. He has also experience with teaching mathematics at upper secondary schools.

Jan Veselý, M.A. is an employee of The Observatory and planetarium in Hradec Kralove. He graduated as a physics teacher for secondary school at the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Hradec Králové in 1994. He deals with the education and popularization of astronomy and astrophysics. He prepares popularizing programs for pupils, students and general public.
